This is the second piece in the Be Elegant.....Elegant Elements by The Beadsmith Project. The clasp is supergorgeous, but not these photos taken at night with lamps (and photoshop...).

And why this name? :) The shades of greys and blues in it are the colours of my hb´s eyes: they changing their colour depending on his mood from the darkest grey to brightest blue :P

Steven Weiss of Beadsmith offered me a wonderful opportunity to join his little team to make some jewelry featuring their new products: two clasps from the Elegant Elements collection. Amazing clasps! This is my first piece for this project (I have to meke new photos when we have some sun..) This bracelet has bead embroidered elements, and at the spacers I used 3D RAW. Beads: delica, 15/0 toho, 11/0 metal seed beasd by Beadsmith, lond magatama beads, peanut beads (thanks Steven :) ) and 3mm firepolished beads.The clasp is CLSP39SP.

Most gondoltunk egyet és közösen, tanfolyamot hirdetünk október 8-án szombatra a Gyöngyboxba.

The beautiful dichroic glass caboshon is from Linda Roberts of course :) I purchased it a couple of months ago (just because I had to :P) and I knew I will use it for something very colourful. If you follow my blog you know it´s not that easy for me to use more than 3 colours in a piece :D So this one is deliberately is so gaudy. This is not exactly what I wanted (I had serious pain in my neck so I could not sit enoug to finish my original ideas) but after all I think I like it. Quite a huge necklace... Maybe I will keep it for myself :P

This was my piece for Bead Mavens´ Bead Soup Double Up challenge. I was in pair with Cath Thomas, she sent me this "soup":

I love those beautiful purple sw squares. I don´t really like bezelling with peyote, so usually I use RAW with 2 needles and firepolished beads to make a tight setting that can be used as a firm base for further embellishing. I just did not like the results of my first attempts, so finally I made triangles from the squares. Then I just continued to "trasform" every crystal into a different shape than they were originally. Hence the name ;) (To be honest, I´m quite a lazy beader when it comes to ropes... I never liked monotone things... so I just made a very simple 4 stranded "random" necklace for the pendant.)

Or its rather monobronze :) I fell in love in my fav. shop with these bronze coated ceramic beads. It just simply did not need any more colours around it. (but it is impossible to take a good photo of it, i tried a lot of lightsources, colour settings... but still no good ones... so you have to guess the rest ;) )

The color choice is the result of a little accident on my table (an unwanted item fell from the top shelf...d.it...) but I realised I love gold if it is surrounded with enough sparkling silver and bronze :P I think more will come very soon ;)

A huge (45mm) crystal cabochon (I don´t know the exact name of its color, but it´s kinda smoky grey with a tiny bit of montana) embellished with 3, 4, 6 and 2,5 mm silver, crystal and black firepolished round beads, czech pressed drops, 11/0 delicas. The necklace is on memory wire. The rope is spiral herringbone and raw.

I really liked to make this one...first I did not like the outcome, but with the finished necklace and the backside (soft leather covers etc..) I do love it know...

The green one´s center was an oval rivoli-like crystal but with flat face. I did not have another one so I had to fint a replacement cab for the custom made new ring. The design perfectly works with rivoli too, so as soon as I have some quiet evening I will make the instruction;) Right after the monthly magazine article :D

Looking at the pictures, my heart goes out to the victims of the flood.
Water reaching up to the rooftops, the ruins of houses, mud covering the streets, mouldy walls and furniture and people who have lost almost everything. Thousands of families had to be evacuated, lots with no hope of ever getting back their homes.

Dear bead-addicted friends! Let's help together!

Zsuzsi Veres (Vezsuzsi), Vica Dobos (deEva) and Bánhalmi Andrea (Ande) have each made a pattern, which are sold through Gyöngybox for a price of 1000 HUF each. It is not a big amount of money so we hope that it will fit into your budget. The proceedings from the sales will be sent to an Aid Organization with us taking no commission from the sales. We will constantly report on how much money was collected and will present the proof of payments on Gyöngybox forum and our private blogs hopefully very soon!
These patterns are only traded by Gyöngybox duroing this campaign and will not be available later.

The patterns will be on sale from 14 June through Gyöngybox webshop and will be available until it is needed to collect money for the flood victims.

Sem a Gyöngybox, sem mi nem veszünk le jutalékot az összegből. Love at first sight... :D when I first saw this beautiful dichroic cabochon made by Linda Roberts on her FB wall, I knew I must get it :) Fortunately I could buy it through her Etsy shop :P I just put it on my desk, watched it for weeks but now finally it find herself some company (very picky girl, but I think in the end she chose quite well :P ) It was raining almost continuously int the last 2-3 weeks, no sun, so the photos are tragic, I will replace them as soon as it will be summer again..or at least spring...

In the old one the centerpiece was a square crystal in a metal setting, but the metal setting always hitched on to something and opened and the crystal fell out... So as I lost the crystal I cut out the setting with a scissor (ooops...) and replaced it with bicones and seed beads.

The new ones were not made of exactly the same-sized beads so they turned out a bit more round. So I added some more beads to make them into oval.

We had a little SWAP amongst my "students", friends. It had no special theme or occassion we just wanted to give something to each other :) Kinga´s daughter Zsófi helped to choose the pairs. So the second time Rita was the one for whom I had to make a surprise. I know her tase very well, so this time I did´t have to think for long about the colours :P

Variations, variations... Another version of my previous ring Luet. At my class the girs made beautiful versions of this ring too. Though they followed the same graphics, instructions, all of the rings turn out to be absolutely unique, totally different. i hope they will port them soon so I can show it to you too ;)

Both ring has the same design, but made with a bit different beads. Square sw (no metal setting...), 5mm bicones, 4mm bicones, 6/4 donuts, 4/3 donust, 3/2 donuts, 6 mm sp cut beads, 15/0 seed beads, 10/0 delicas, 4mm and 3 mm firepolished beads.

I made one more: the centerpiece in this is a 14mm rivoli, and I replaced the 15/0 beads with 11/0 delicas.

To my dear friend Ande. I had some instructions: something turquoise, something silver, but most of all a big beaded bead on a long chain :P I think the result meets all requirements :D The diameter of the beaded bead is 40 mm. (Still no sunshine... so I just can not take an acceptable photo of it... the beads are 8 mm magique beads, 7/5 machine cut donuts, 4mm bicones, 4 mm firepolished beads, 11/0 seed beads) A changed the elements of the chain after I took these photos: I added a long fringe with more and bigger beads at the bottom of the BB.

The brass pendant had been waiting for me for ages :) Hand in hand with the pink firepolished beads I had bought at least 4 years ago... I ordered them without knowing what I will get exactly (...just bring me something pink...), and I got much more than I needed. Just as Anna :) So I wanted to create a necklace that will sweep out these unwanted beads from my stock... I need more space :P Or maybe I should buy more empty boxes :D
